Training Opportunities for Therapists

We are committed to ensuring the highest levels of emotional support for children and young people and one way we approach this is by enhancing the skills of therapists who work with them. We provide a range of training opportunities for therapists throughout the year covering relevant topics. This includes: play therapy, art therapy, self-harm, suicide and many more.

This experiential two-hour workshop will look at the effect of silence on the client and counsellor.

Sand Tray and Objects

This two-hour workshop will provide a hands-on opportunity to experience working with the sand tray as a client and therapist. You can create and explore using this unique creative method with clients. Sand play is for everyone, come and play in the sand.

Mindfulness and Self-care

Mindfulness is understanding the positive and negative emotions and the effect in our body and mental health and the effect on our relationships.

This workshop will be about:
•       Energy and how energy works, and how energy follows the mind
•       That our very emotions are energy in motion
•       What we think we attract
•       The benefits of becoming consciously aware, for example what is your self-talk?
•       Understanding the power of the word
•       The power of mindfulness
•       How to connect with the breath

It will also include:
•       A mindful exercise, helping you to fully be in the now! There is only the now.
•       Several different guided meditations and mindful exercises.

Two dates. Either: Sunday 30th April: 9.30am to 4.30pm or Sunday 21st May: 9.30am to 4.30pm
